Riani Grosskopf
 

I completed training in 2005 and have been registered with the Irish Medical Council since 2008. Having worked in South Africa, Ireland and the Middle East, I have called Dublin home since 2017. I have a specific interest in preventative health and quality in healthcare which has led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Health which I am proud to have completed recently. I am an affiliate member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and a member of The European Association for Quality and Patient Safety in General Practice/Family Medicine.

Rathgar Village Medical was born from the dream that high quality healthcare should be easily accessible and delivered in a calm and friendly environment, where everyone can be treated to the highest standard and with utmost respect.

 

Catarina Rebelo
 

Dr Catarina Rebelo is a Portuguese GP who has experience caring for the Portuguese speaking community in Dublin and now welcomes patients at Rathgar Village Medical.
 
I was born in Porto, Portugal, where I graduated in Medicine from the  University of Porto in 2016. I completed my specialist training in Family Medicine in Matosinhos in 2021 and worked for two years as a Family Medicine Specialist in Portugal, before relocating to Dublin in 2024. I am registered with both the Irish Medical Council and the Portuguese Medical Association, and I am an affiliate member of the Irish College of General Practitioners.
 
I offer consultations in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Dublin has always been a city that welcomed me warmly. Here I have been able to continue developing my work in Primary Care, caring for patients of all ages throughout every stage of life. I have a particular passion for women’s health, contraception, and sexual health. I also completed postgraduate training in Palliative Care, further strengthening my ability to support patients with chronic and life-limiting conditions.
 
I believe in honest, practical, and evidence-based medicine that is communicated clearly and simply. Taking the time to listen with empathy is fundamental to my practice, and I strive to build trusting relationships with my patients.
 
 

Tiago Sousa
 

Dr Tiago Sousa is a Portugese GP who now welcomes patients at Rathgar Village Medical Centre. He offers consultations in English and Portugese.

I graduated in Medicine from the University of Porto in 2016 and completed my specialist training in Family Medicine in Porto in 2021. I then worked as a Family Medicine Specialist in Portugal for almost two years before moving to Dublin, where I have worked as a General Practitioner since 2024.

I am registered with the Irish Medical Council, Irish College of General Practitioners and Portuguese Medical Association. 

I have a particular interest in chronic disease management, family planning and men’s health. I have also completed the BASHH STI Foundation Course and am an approved HIV PrEP provider.

I enjoy providing attentive, holistic care and supporting patients throughout their lives, helping them make informed health decisions based on the best available medical evidence.
