FAQ

How do I make an appointment?

We have started using online booking through the PIPPO portal, allowing you to see all available appointments in real time and arrange a time that suits you best. This is available only to patients already registered with the practice and who have registered for PIPPO either through the app or online.

You can also call or email us to request an appointment.

We make additional appointments available during the morning for next day appointments. For all same day appointments, please call us.

Do you do phone consultations?

Indeed! If you have any respiratory symptoms or tested positive for COVID, please arrange a phone consultation. It is best to review all other concerns in person.

How do you take payment?

You can make payments online or by card. We use a secure
online platform to process any card payments. For services such as repeat prescriptions, you’ll receive a text message from Billink to complete online payment.

What is your GDPR policy? How do I know my data is safe?

We have adopted the requirements of the ICGP for processing patient personal data and the practice policies are consistent with Medical Council and Data Protection guidelines. A copy of our GDPR statement is available here.

Do I need to wear a mask?

Masks are no longer mandatory, but please wear a mask if you have any respiratory symptoms.

What Is your cancellation POlicy?

We understand that life can happen, preventing you from attending your appointment. Please cancel your appointment with 24 hours notice so that we can accommodate anyone waiting on an appointment. If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or don’t attend your appointment, your consultation fee is not refundable. If you are running late for an existing appointment, please call us: we’ll do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but this is not always possible.

How does PIPPO work?

PIPPO is an online patient information portal that links directly with our booking software. You can see available appointments in real time, schedule and pay for appointments, or cancel appointments if needs be.

It is designed to make it quick and easy to arrange your appointment. It doesn’t cost you anything extra to make use of the service. It has been developed with the highest safety and privacy standards in order to protect your data and is fully GDPR compliant.

You need to be a registered patient and you’ll only be able to register if your contact details, notably mobile number and email, match that we have on record for you exactly. If you have difficulty registering to use PIPPO, please contact us to ask for a registration link.

How to reach us?

We are located in Rathgar Village, above the Butler’s Pantry. Our entrance is directly between the Butler’s Pantry and 99B Concept Store. Parking is available by paid on street parking and in the bus lane between 10am and 12pm.

As we are on the first floor, up a flight of steps (great for your cardiovascular health), consider leaving buggies in the car. If you have a problem preventing you from climbing stairs you can arrange a phone consultation.

Do you take medical cards or under 8-s?

We are a private practice, we do not hold a contract with the HSE to offer a GMS medical card list or free under 8 care. Of course you are still most welcome to come see us.

Do you offer ante-natal care?

We are a private practice, we do not hold a contract with the HSE to offer free ante-natal care. We do however love these very special examinations, you are still most welcome to  see us for your reviews.

Do you offer out of hours services?

For any after hours emergencies we recommend that you attend your nearest Emergency Department.

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?
We welcome patients from all corners of the world, all ages, races, creeds, sexual preferences and dietary restrictions. We treat everyone with the same respect and humanity.
Why do you ask for my PPS number?

Your PPS number remains confidential and we use it only where it is required for medical services such as smear tests or for administration such as illness benefit certification.
